Short Bio
Gianaclis (gee-on-a-klees) is a multi-award winning author who was raised in the wilds of Oregon playing in the woods and failing at picking string beans. She writes cheesy (no really) non-fiction on small-scale dairy and cheesemaking and is diving into upmarket speculative fiction. In her spare time she guides other old ladies in plies, ronde jambes, and the occasional pirouette.
Long Bio
Gianaclis (gee-on-a-klees) is a multi-award winning non-fiction author who was raised in the wilds of Oregon talking to trees and escaping work in the garden to read books. She writes upmarket speculative fiction with themes of family, platonic love, and nomance. After a few NaNoWriMo’s and buckets of rewrites, she signed with Amy A. Collins at Talcott Notch Literary in 2023.
Due to restless avocation syndrome, she’s been a nurse, farrier, fine printmaker, architect, foster/adoptive/birth mom, cheesemaker, and goat farmer. After a nomadic life as a military spouse and cheese instructor, she’s back in the wilds of Oregon living a civilized, off-the-power-grid life on the land once stewarded by the Takelma (Dagelma) people.
In her spare time she teaches ballet and fitness to other gals of a certain age, pursues the finest glass of bourbon, and still talks to the trees.
